gcs_love_2_IG_2FEB 7th, 2015… GCS was happy to host the second edition of the “All Our Love” art show that takes place during february’s art walk. This specially selected group of artists represented some of what GCS loves and holds most dear. We thank all the artists that were involved in the show as well as the crowds that came in though out the night. Big thanks to Scarub from Living Legends for his in store performance, which we covered in a previous post. DJ’s Real and AB were on the decks all night long. DJ AB had a HUG STATION out in front of the shop for the night promoting peace in the hood. “All Our Love 2” art show for Feb ’15 art walk

Love is in the air as GCS Clothing Store and Art Gallery gets ready for the second installment of “All Our Love” art show. And with a roster of artists like this, whats not to love. We hope that you and your loved ones can join us for ART WALK DTSA feb 7th, 2015. As always, the art show is free and all ages. Music, refreshments and artists will be on hand for the nights festivities. Event starts at 7pm and goes until  11pm. For those that cannot make it out that night, the art will hang for the rest of the month.

Prismatic Nov. 17th 2012

The “Prismatic” art show was put together to celebrate the launch of the new fashion blog GOLD REICH, created by the very talented Teresa Del Val. The mission was to put together a very impactful all female line up of visual as well as musical artists.

The night opened to a strong crowd that came out to see and hear all new works. Our eyes were treated by the works of Irene Garcia, Des Boobs, Aurora Lady and Teresa Del Val. And the ears were blessed with the tunes of DJ Lala, Germ Free, Gavlin and Topdime (Black Roses) and Ill Camile.

We hope to have the return of PRISMATIC sometime in 2014… stay tuned…

April 20 / April 21 Art Shows 2012

GCS Santa Ana is celebrating the 420 holiday the only way we know how… with art! This weekend brings us two art shows. On Friday April 20th, we will have a special 420 inspired art show in addition to an instore performance with Orko Eloheim (Global Floatations). This is a quick stike art show, open to our most irie cutomers and artists.

Saturday April 21st brings the show “Serenity Minds”. This is the second art show curated by Jonathan Martinez. Jonathan has been working here for the past year and has shown his art during several art shows held here in that time. This is a four person show featuring Irene Garcia, Zack Bowen, Jaw Ear and Jonathan Martinez. Jonathan’s first show has a huge success and this one promises to be even better.

So after the hoopla and razzle dazzle coming from the innumerable despensory promotions, come by, relax and enjoy the great art that will bless our gallery this fine April weekend.

“Within the Core” Art Show

aseph,withinthecore,art,dtsa,gcs,santaanaDecember’s art show brought us Aspeh’s “Within the Core”. This is the third or fourth time that we have had the pleasure of hosting Aseph in our gallery. The crowds were great as usual despite the cold weather. 3rdI, APE, Hurl, and Irene Garcia also displayed newly created pieces in support of the show. The show was predominated by original acrylic paintings, punctuated by Aspeh’s huge centerpiece created on digital media. For more info on Aseph, check out his site www.aspehone.com.
