ghost_ghost_face_theobservatory_gcs_3AUG 19th, 2015- After a quick re-schedule of the event, Ghost Face Killah came through The Observatory for a great wednesday show for $7. Not only did you have a legendary mc from the WU come out backed up by Killah Priest, but it was all for Out Da House’s 8 yr anniversary and DJ Droops’s bday celebration. The main room was packed from elbows to nuts, but Ironman definitely did not disappoint, giving the audience what they came to hear. The following are some photos that we grabbed from the night, enjoy. ghost_face_wu_tang_santa_ana_16

Necro_death_rapJune 9th, 2015. Every so often, The Observatory in Santa Ana offers great shows at the unbelievable price of $5. This tuesday night, not only did they have Andre Nikatina booked for the show, but they added a very special guest, NECRO with Mr. Hyde. The homies at UGHHblog brought Necro out for a few shows in the southland and they were able to add him to this great show. Here are some photos we snapped from the show. Delinquent Habits at Psycho De Mayo ’15

Ives_trie_delinquent_habits_santaana__5May 5th, 2015. It’s that time of year again, time for The Psycho Realm’s premier event of the year entitled Psycho De Mayo. This year, they brought it to The Observatory in Santa Ana. Although there was a strong line up of up and coming, young artists on the bill, by the time GCS got to the venue we were only able to catch Delinquent Habits, Evidence and of course Psycho Realm. Here are some pictures we grabbed of Kemo The Blaxican and Ives Irie while they rocked their set. Kemo_the_blacxican_santaana

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony performing “E. 1999 Eternal”

Bonethugs_santaana_24May 3rd, 2015. This event was definitely one for the history books. Layzie, Bizzy, Wish Bone, Flesh-N-Bone and Krayzie Bone otherwise known as Bone Thugs-N-Harmony performed their album “E. 1999 Eternal” in its entirety. The Observatory has done a great job not only booking high quality music acts, but they have been successful in getting these acts to perform some of their more classic albums for these special shows. Nothing against new material but it never hurts to take it back to those albums that made people die hard fans to begin with. The main room at The Observatory was treated to a piece of hip hop history that they will soon not forget. Bonethugs_santaana_20

Stay tuned for more from the Back To Basics music festival. Back_to_basics_2mex_santa_ana_hiphop

Army Of The Pharaohs OCT 22, 2014

Army_of_the_pharaohs_santaana_the_observatory_3Another big show that we were excited to see was Army Of The Pharaohs at The Observatory. AOTP was out promoting their new album “Heavy Lies The Crown”, but you know they couldn’t come through without rocking a few classic tracks. The Jedi Mind Trick family was in full force, and the crowd loved it. Vinnie Paz, Apathy, Celph Titled, Esoteric, Outerspace (Planetary and Crypt the War Child), Reef the Lost Cause and a very special guest Ill Bill turned in a great performance. Jedi Minds, Uncle Howie represent!Vinnie_paz_the_observatory_out_da_house_santa_ana
