Every first saturday of the month is art walk out here in downtown Santa Ana. This month, however, we didn’t host a new show since the Cinco de Mayo carnival blocks us out. Customers still find their way in here but the casual art walker was replaced by families out for a good night. We’ll be back at it in June for art walk.

GCS Santa Ana 8 year anniversary show
April 29th, 2017 – GCS Clothing Store and Art Gallery celebrated it’s 8th year in the beautiful city of Santa Ana. It’s been a long and winding road, but we’ve made it. We count everyday open as a blessing, every patron as a priority and every event as an opportunity. We’ve been lucky to be part of this underground art and music culture. As long a there are people to support us, we’ll have the will to keep bringing you the best. Tip your glass, here’s to another 8 years in DTSA… and hopefully many, many more.

April ’17 art walk at GCS
April 1st, 2017- 8 years ago to the day, GCS opened it’s doors to the Santa Ana community. It has been a long and winding road full of perils and pleasures, but we have survived. This art walk was a celebration of sorts as we marked this anniversary. New art pieces on the wall and some quality music practitioners helped us mark the date. Sapient Jon Sleeves and The Halve Two at GCS
March 4th, 2017- GCS was fortunate to host the touring Sapient, Jon Sleeves and The Halve Two for a meet and greet and in store performance during the March art walk. While on a mini west coast tour, these mc’s were generous enough to make a stop here in DTSA before their show in Pomona. They had merch for sale and blessed us with a few tunes.

Beat Swapmeet 3/12/17
Sunday, March 12th 2017- The neighborhood was jumping an dthe weather was great when Beat Swapmeet came through Eastend Downtown Santa Ana. Taking up residence in the plaza and lot in front of the Yost Theatre, the BSM brought out great vendors, great buyers and friends, new and old. Our friends at Blackbooks and Rhymebooks came through for the day and came through with a line up of great artists and dj’s. Shout out to beirdoh, OG Husky Radio, DJ REAL and all those that came to the shop.

Combat Ready in store
GCS hosted Combat Ready for a in store DJ session. The very talented Yeyo came out to paint a canvas live while the others rocked the turntables. More photos to come.
Dec ’16 art walk

Oddrooted Veggies release event
July 23rd, 2016- ENDZ from LGCLLTV put together a very cool line up to celebrate his latest release entitled “ODDROOTED VEGGIES”. Supporting ENDZ we have INZOM, LINOSKII OAHN, STEEZ76D, GILEAD7 and MC LYFE. Dj’s for the night are Chente Chi and INDJNOUS. Big ups to all these guys, its always a great time when they come through. Event runs from 7 pm to 11pm. Free and all ages. bring some dough so you can buy a CD.
Burning Season 4 Art Show
Get ready for the heat, “Burning Season” 4 art show is coming to GCS Clothing Store and Art Gallery for the August Art Walk. Presented by MZK, DAMET and DSTRTD TRUTH. This show is bringing out a stellar line up that touches every element of hip hop. Graff heads, DJ’s, B-Boys and Mc’s converge at GCS August 6th, 2016 from 6 pm until 11pm.
